The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“The believer is not given to cursing, slandering or obscene and foul speech.”

Default your input needed: quran ajax beta site

alsalam 3alaikum wa ra7matullah,
sas asked me to post this -- i was playing around with ajax a little bit the other day, and i applied it to the existing quran site just to see the effect. i've only applied it on the page where the verses are viewed, and it only applies to changing suras or changing which translations are viewed.

i wanted to ask for some feedback on this. do you like the original version better, or does the ajax make the site a little better? other suggestions are also welcome and more than appreciated.

jazakumAllah khairan.

wa 'alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Definitely prefer this ajax version. It's a lot quicker to get the arabic (and the other different options).

I don't see the difference in Change Surah though? It actually got kinda weird when I changed surah.

I agree with Editor its much much quicker in loading up, other than that there is no noticeable difference.

bro ahmedre, try to keep the selected options "Pickthal, images, arbic" in cookie, and pre-select them when user go to different surah.

also on each different line, do tell which line was it from (Pickthal, Yusuf Ali, Muhsin Khan...) so person can easily see which line was from where and who. also each verses numbers should be displayed i think. khair you guys know what is best.

i think the rows navigation (20 per page) is more important, if you can then please work on that too.

if you need help or somthing, then post on forums.mpadc.com we will be there to help you out.

keep up the good work.

May Allah show us the stright path and help us follow it. Ameen

Arbic text version of Quran is attahed, you can just dump in to your database, but ask your developer if you dont know the fields or how it work.
