As Salaamu 3laykum wa Ra7matullaahi wa barakaatuh,

Insha'Allaah we have now bought the domain for the project that we have been wanting to start for a while now - that is a Bookstore and a clothing store in one online.

There are so many things we will need to do, including a site [Which insha'Allaah within next few weeks should be up].

But are there any tips, advice on the agenda we should think about when it comes to running a store?

Please anything you can think of would be of great help, bi'itnillaah.

As you are probably aware, safety of monetary exchange should be a priority.

Btw I wonder, do you have to pay to get one of those small padlock icons?

Well it really depends on your transaction i guess.

Most e-commerce sites have an account with WorldPay or Pay Pal and in order to make a payment it re-directs them to a secure page( "with a padlock"). So the payment is made and taken outside your website.

Umm Layth, i think one of the key thing is to advertise your site as much as you can, once its up and running. And Keep an eye on the competiton see what they are doing and how they are doing it, "Observe and Learn".

There will definitely be a lot of advertising. And we have lots of neat ideas to add to our site that will make us 'different' from the others, bi'ithnillaah.
