As the Arabic proverb goes: Wisdom is the lost property of the believer, wherever he finds it, he takes it.
It is essential that one of the members of this blessed forums attend this event and gain as much information as possible be it from attendance of seminars and making notes or taking all the free literature available.
This is because there is a number of us here who teach Arabic (such as Shaja3aah and others) who would benefit from knowing these new techniques and skills.
Would someone please confirm they will attend?

These are some I noticed that seem interesting, in addition to the two you mentioned.
Friday 12.00 12.45pm
Learn 101 verbs in a day. Learn Verbs claim to have done for languages what Jamie Oliver has done for school dinners. See how their revolutionary series of books and pronunciation website brings fun and life to every level of language learner, presented by its author & inventor, Rory Ryder.
Friday 11.45 12.30pm
Weblogs and podcasts for language learning. The relatively new medium of the 'read-write' web and easy online publishing and radio broadcasting can spur new enthusiasm for writing and speaking foreign languages. Learn what podcasters and bloggers are, and get loads of ideas on how you can create your own blog or podcast. This is something to really help your own language-learning or help your students strive for excellence. Ewan McIntosh, formerly MFL Teacher at Musselburgh Grammar School, now Development Officer for Scottish CILT.
Sunday 2.30 3.15pm
Rapid language learning using memory techniques . "Excelerated" foreign vocab learning using the techniques of the memory masters. An introduction to the innovative language learning software from 200words-a-day.com.
Sunday 2.15 3.00pm
Language-learning for the language-averse. At KS1, KS2 or later, language-learners often struggle with unfamiliar phonics and irregular structures. This seminar describes how learners confidence can be built, a secure foundation laid for later language-learning, and literacy improved, through using the simple, regular features of Esperanto as a stepping-stone to other languages. Chaired by Professor John Wells, Dept.of Linguistics, University College, London.

This would depend upon the ability and discretion of the individual attending, but at least try to get as much literature and cd-roms as possible and share with us here.
