The Arabic Alphabet. I'm too tired to do transliteration.

From Right to left...from the top:

Alif
Baa
Taa
Thaa (like a snake hiss)
Jeem
HHaa (a hard hhaa sound)
Khaa
Daal
Dhaal/Thaal (like ure saying the)
Raa
Zaa
seen
sheen
saad
dhaad/daad (like saying the again, but ure mouth is more open/full)
Taa/thaa (mouth is more open/full)
'ayn (from the back of the throat)
ghayn
Faa
Qaaf (from the throat)
Kaaf
Laam
Meem
Noon
Waw/Wow
Haa (from your 'chest', practice saying who)
Hamza (makes sounds similar to alif when written with damma/fat-ha/kasra (thats zabar, pesh, and zeyr for the pakistani's amongst us)) - there is a reason why i said alif - ill explain some time in shaa' Allah.

How do you get someone who's so used to pronuncing a letter the wrong way to change?

This is going to sound lame, but by practice. Have them say it the right way 100-300 times, then start with some words, and finally try some sentences. When the person is pronouncing the letter, have them say it in a very loud voice and space it out.
