Assalam alaikum.
I am a convert to Islam and need necessary materials on how I can learn the Arabic language so that I can read, write, comprehend and commmunicate in the language. I can only at present read the English text of the Glorious Qur'an. I shall also need a copy of the Qur'ran.
May Allah bless you as you assist.
Masalam.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Assalmu Alakum,
I just want to give anyone who is interested links to some site who have books and audio to learn Arabic.
Well the site for the Islamic university of Medinah has thier whole 2 year program on the site, what you need to do is first go to the Home page at
http://www.iu.edu.sa/english/
then on your right hand side you'll see "education curriculum" click on that and you'll be able to download all the books for the 2 year program.
Also for those who are total beguiners in Arabic and need some audio teaching also, there is a great site some brothers put up at:
http://madinaharabic.com
InshAllah this can help anyone who needs some coaching through the beguining pronunciation of letters and words.
May Allah expand our knowledge and make us more humble with what we learn. For the more you learn, the more you learn how much you don't know. Verily Allah knows everything, and we are ignorant.

Assalamu alaykum
http://uponsunnah.com/arabic.php has everything you need -- the syllabus is the ebook with the entire curriculum of Madinah University, and the page has all the audio files for each lesson. Some lessons have some helpful notes, but you should definitely take your own. I am in the middle of this course, and I think you should always print the next lesson beforehand and read it, and also when the speaker is going over the Exercises, pause it and do them yourself.
